FAQ's

What kind of people are part of River Church?

L
K

We’re a very diverse church with people of all ages, from all walks of life and backgrounds. At the last count, we had around 21 different nations!

What are your gatherings like?

L
K

Our gatherings are typically 1.5 hours long. We have a passion for sung worship where we declare the name of Jesus. We then have a Bible-based talk, giving an opportunity for people to respond to what they’ve heard.

What should I wear?

L
K

Whatever you like! You’ll see most people dressed in a casual manner but feel free to come just as you are.

Where can you park?

L
K

There is free parking and plenty of space at our venues. When you arrive, one of our Welcome Team, normally wearing a delightfully bright jacket, will direct you towards a space.

Do you have anything for kids and youth?

L
K

At our weekly Dartford gathering, it’s great to have the children with us to enjoy worship, so they normally go out to their kids groups around 10:20am.

If you have children between 0-4 years, Explorers provides a playful and relaxing space. If your children are 5-10 years, Treasure Hunters is where they will journey with God through games, craft and biblical teaching. We also run youth work for secondary school age every other Sunday and Thursday nights during term times.

Currently, children and youth stay in our main meeting in Gravesend.

What if I have accessibility needs?

L
K

The buildings we meet in cater for the majority of needs. We have allocated spaces outside the main entrance for disabled badge holders. Ramps and wide doorways provide easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Disabled toilets are also provided at the venue.

At our main service we offer priority seating for anyone requiring easy access. At this point, we’re afraid we can’t offer a sign language or T-loop service for those hard of hearing.

If you have any questions not covered here, do email us via the Contact page. We’d love to offer our help.
